Make your holiday amazing, with holiday gems.

When we went away in the summer to the beautiful county of Yorkshire, we stayed at a lovely site in Snainton. We did some research of the area, visiting Beck Hole waterfall, Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay to name a few. We had a wonderful week and realised how amazing this country we live in is and more to the point how much of it we have not yet explored.

Now in November we have spent a number of evenings watching different programmes from all sorts of places and many interesting and some less interesting different topics.

Stay with me here, I do have a point to this!

We love watching bangers and cash, it’s a programme following a company called Matthewsons Auctions.

The programme is fab for all of you who love classic cars and other mechanical pieces. They visit different parts of the country to collect cars etc for auction. We knew they were in Yorkshire, we had seen the name of the village where they are based, but had we taken any notice, not really. It was not till a month ago, when we watched one of the episodes where the proprietor and a couple of his team were walking round the village, that we realised in horror that we had actually stopped at the very same village after visiting the waterfall. To say we were annoyed is being polite. We even went into a small shop about 100 yards from the auction house. We could not believe what we were seeing, and on closer Internet inspection, we realised it was about 11 miles from where we were staying!

So when your caravan is all serviced, and ready to rock and roll once again, really look at where you are going to stay, find those gems that make the holiday amazing.
